“The most dangerous game” Literary Response
Have you ever experienced being in a situation in which you are a pray. Have you ever had to think fast because your life depended on it? Rainsford was a hunter that has no feelings for animals; he also thinks they have no feelings. He is put in a situation that had to use his brain and made him change his opinion about the animals’ feelings.
Richard Connell constructs the character of Rainsford in order to prove the reader that the man is hunter, smart and that he learned from his experiences.
This is talking about how Rainsford is and about how he changes as the story passes. ‘“God makes some men poets, some he makes kings some beggars. Me he made me a hunter. My whole life has been one prolonged hunt.”’This quote proves that Rainsford is a hunter and that all his life has been a long hunt. He also thinks that animals have no feelings so he decides to just kill them because they will not feel. As he goes through the story he had to escape, from General Zaroff so he has to use his brain.
‘“From some hard saplings cut stakes and sharpened to fine point.”’ This quote proves that Rainsford is smart and spontaneous because when he was fighting for his life in the island he

had to do some traps, so General Zaroff could not get him and kill him. There in the island he did not have enough resources and materials that he could use to do the traps, so he started thinking and with the small amount of material that he had and that he found he made the traps. Rainsford in this point he is a huntee because General Zaroff is trying to kill him so he learned from his experience when he is a huntee . Rainsford is a very intelligent and smart man but he says that animals have no feelings, in this part is where he figures out that people learn from their experiences. ‘“The world is made up of two classes the hunters and the huntees.”’ This quote proves that Rainsford has no feelings but he is put in a situation of a huntee and he started thinking that maybe animals have feelings (people learn their experiences). For this reason it is concluded that Rainsford is….

The previous proves that the concepts relates to the real world because in life you are going to have challenges either in a job or at school so you have to be prepared and use your brain in difficult situations because you never know what it is going to happen. This concludes that he changes of feelings because of his experiences. What would you do if someone switched papers?
Reflection:
This project was not that easy because it took a lot of time and we had to refine it a lot so that it could be perfect. Ms. Shirk had to check it and approve it, it was difficult because i had a lot of grammatical errors and sentences that didn't make sense but it was all worth it with Ms. Shirk's feedback my essay came out good.
